Course Description: This class covers PV system installation, design, and sales/estimation. It includes extensive hands-on activities in small groups and the construction of a complete grid-tied PV system. Use of the tools of the trade for undertaking shade analysis and site visits is included. PV terminology, equipment and relevant skills for working with PV systems will be introduced. Trainees will gain familiarity with PV panels, inverters, and multiple rail systems for panels in a mock-roof environment. They will use shade analysis tools, undertake a mock site visit and compile a complete bill of materials for a PV system.

There are online tests available at the conclusion of days 2, 4 and 5. Successfully passing each test will result in a certificate of completion being issued by Green Career Institute to the trainee for that part of the course (Installation, Design and Sales/Estimation).
